SOPHIE GAMAND is an interspecies, interdisciplinary Photographer, Artist and Animal Chaplain.
SOPHIE observes the areas of friction in the relationship between dogs and humans, through an ecofeminist lens, and what these reveal about our species and the world we share.
Anchored in photography, SOPHIE’s work lives at the intersection of art, science, and spirituality. Using a multitude of tools, from hand-stitched embroidery to new media, sculptures or installations, SOPHIE tells powerful stories of dogs and humans coexisting.
SOPHIE invokes dogs as mirrors and spiritual bridges, teaching us how to thrive in a world we have ravaged.
