This jar/urn was hand built slowly and with care. It is intended to be a special place for intention setting, blessings, ceremonies, or to hold special objects and words, or a small amount of ashes. There is a “stitch” carved in the back of the lid and container so you know how to align the lid for an ideal fit.
The jar/urn comes wrapped in vintage fabric from Sophie’s collection.

Your Guardian Vessel was hand built slowly and with intention. My inspiration for this shape comes from world mythologies that involve dogs as psychopomps (guides to the souls). These dogs guard the entrance to the Afterlife, and help human souls cross over. In some stories, the sacred dog ferries the soul on their back across dangerous rivers, fending off evil spirits, protecting and guiding.
The vessel features a Watcher at the Prow, a dog figure facing inward. Instead of scanning the horizon, the dog remains a loyal companion and witness, protector of your inner world and the intention you have placed inside the vessel: tears, ashes, herbs, notes, prayers, sacred objects…
The vessel is your sanctuary, under the watchful dog guardian.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS / INFO
This vessel is not intended for food use.
Guardian Vessels are water resistant and designed to be used in water ceremony/rituals but I recommend doing a test if you want the vessel to hold water for extended periods of time as it might leak.
The bottom of the vessel is rough and might scratch delicate surfaces–please consider placing a piece of felt or fabric underneath the vessel to protect your furniture.
